VANCOUVER, Canada — Trillion Energy International has completed reprocessing of 3D seismic acquired in 2004 over the SASB gas field in the Turkish sector of the Black Sea.
It is now interpreting the results for tie-in to the drilled wells.
The program has applied advances since the initial processing of the data to achieve enhanced imaging for reservoir characterization, faults and reservoir layers.
In addition, Trillion said the new PSDM seismic volumes and velocity model have
- Delivered light continuous reflectors, clearer fault cuts and amplitude preservation;
- Improved imaging of the subsurface geology and enhanced results of attributes, inversion and AVO; better quality data, allowing for clear visibility of both previously and newly discovered gas channels, revealing thin sand bodies;
- Validation of the presence of hydrocarbons based on intercepts, gradients, fluid factors and gas indicators; and
- Detection of sweet spots for new gas prospects.
CEO Arthur Halleran said, “The revelation of extensive channel sands, particularly in the D and De-E zones, surpasses our earlier understanding of the field…The excitement is palpable as we witness the emergence of previously unseen gas-charged sand channels throughout, setting the stage for a future defined by enhanced exploration success.”
